Coleman recorded nine solo tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles during the 22-17 win over the Steelers. For the year, he has 32 tackles, three sacks, and one interception.
This is the first time Coleman has earned the award this season. The runner-up is linebacker Daryl Smith of the Jaguars (15 tkls, 13 solo, 1 sack). Chiefs defensive end Wallace Gilberry receives honorable mention (3 tkls, 3 solo, 3 sacks, 1 FF). Finishing in 17th is linebacker James Laurinaitis from the Rams (11 tkls, 10 solo).
